Brighter Tomorrow Montessori Infant Program
Our infant environment is a peaceful and loving place, where babies can explore and feel secure. Teachers speak gently and use positive-affirming language (we do not use harsh “no’s”). Autonomy and independence is encouraged and nurtured at this stage. We allow the babies enough time and space to engage with their surroundings, while reassuring a sense of trust and respect. Every detail of the Montessori prepared space is selected with your child’s development in mind.
Our infant rooms welcome children ages 6 weeks to 24 months
A nutritional hot lunch (including fruit and milk) is available and made daily for infants that can eat solid food. We take food allergies and restrictions very seriously and offer modifications based on the needs of your child.

The Classroom
The Infant room is kept warm and cozy, providing our infants comfort and security as they explore their new social environment. The Montessori teachers speak gently and allow the baby to feel invited and cared for. The classrooms contain low shelves decked with materials that engage our children in a variety of fine-motor and problem solving activities. The child to staff ratio is 4 to 1.
Our Montessori learning materials are scientifically-designed according to The Montessori Method, and are arranged purposefully and intentionally in our classroom to create a space where children can nurture their curiosity and creativity.
Practical Life Skills
Practical Life introduces our infants to essential life skills. They learn and master rudimentary skills, such as basic holding, grasping, picking up and releasing objects. Over time, they are more able to care for themselves and eat independently. These skills are serve as foundational blocks in our infants’ maturation and development.
Sensorial
Infants are interested in sensorial experience, that is why we provide music and the human voice for listening, mirrors for visual stimulation, and varied textures for touching. Children between the ages of 6 to 18 months learn to use their 5 senses in order to differentiate hearing sounds, seeing colors, and touching textures.
