Our Mission

We provide a warm, safe, and supportive community that nurtures a lifelong love of learning. We honor each child’s path as they become independent, confident, and compassionate individuals, while learning to care for themselves, others, and the world. Brighter Tomorrow Montessori Preschool, guided by the educational philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori, nurtures the natural unfolding of the whole child in a supportive, culturally rich, and diverse learning community. Our belief is that through the deep realization of each individual’s unique gifts and abilities, we become independent, self-motivated, and contributing members of the world’s community.

Our Goal

It is our goal to foster in the children deep and persistent curiosity that will lead to lifelong pursuit of knowledge, to help them become independent, confident global citizens.

The Montessori Method

The goal of the Montessori Method is to help a child reach his or her full potential in the different aspects of life. It involves activities that promote the development of social, emotional, and physical coordination skills which pave the way for cognitive development and the fulfillment of intellectual academic milestones for the child. The curriculum requires passionate and well-trained teachers who will allow the child to experience learning in an enjoyable and meaningful way. This process ensures the development of self-esteem for the child as he or she continues to become more and more confident while gaining new skills at his or her own pace.

Our Philosophy

Brighter Tomorrow Montessori Preschool believes that children are born with their own unique skills and they are naturally interested in learning about the world around them. Their formative years are a sensitive period for learning skills in movement, language, and peer interaction which helps children become more involved in their family environment, the school, and the rest of the community.

The Montessori Method of Education is essentially the foundation for the child’s natural inner discipline. It teaches caring and respect for others as well as respect for one’s self. The curriculum fosters a rich and healthy environment where children can make use of special learning tools and materials developed by Dr. Montessori. These tools have been designed to help facilitate the total development of each child’s unique method of gaining new skills and learning.

The Montessori Learning Environment

Our learning environment and the activities we lined up for your child reflect the Montessori philosophy. It promotes self-directed learning for children – from the classroom set-up, the learning materials used, to the social setting that we create. Educators will provide the necessary resources, and introduce opportunities for children to learn in a safe and supportive environment. In this way, the educator and the child will form a trust-based relationship which develops the child’s self-confidence and encourages him or her to try new experiences.

The Cornerstones of the Montessori Method

Respect:  Children are respected as unique individuals.

Absorbent Mind: Children possess an acute sensitivity for absorbing and learning from their environment.

Purposeful Activity:  Children have a deep love and need for real life activities. When they are “playing” with practical life materials they are indeed “working” to learn about the world around them.

Self-Discipline:  Children gradually develop self-discipline through freedom of movement and freedom of choice. The Montessori materials give them a sense of satisfaction, which encourages them to concentrate and complete activities.

Independence: Children are encouraged and guided toward independence as early as possible to become well-adjusted and able to function confidently by themselves and within a group.
Care of Self & the Environment:  Children gain an understanding of their importance and impact on their community and world through practicing the skills necessary for self-care and tending to the environment.
